2019 Terroir Rosé
The Hogue Cellars winemakers have created the Terroir line to showcase wines that are unique as varietals and that express the
singularity of vineyard sites in Washington state. Made in limited quantities, the wine is sold only at the winery tasting room (also
available by mail).
Our 2019 Rosé opens with fresh aromas of cherry, strawberry, and spice. The wine is clean, fruity, and refreshing with a great balance of sugar and acid and lots of crispness. Enjoy the wine on its own or pair it with lighter pasta dishes, seafood, or fresh fruit-and-cream desserts.
VINTAGE AND VINEYARDS
Temperatures during the 2019 growing season were close to historical averages without many heat spikes. During harvest, temperatures cooled which gave our wines soft flavors and great acidity.
The grapes were harvested mid-day to promote fermentation. The juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks and racked off the lees. It spent the remainder of its maturation in stainless steel tanks until bottling.
