2019 Terroir Sauvignon Blanc
The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc displays grapefruit, grass, and a hint of lime on the nose. The palate is clean and exceedingly smooth, with refreshing citrus and lemongrass flavors. This wine has a subliminal sweetness with well-balanced acidity and a creamy touch. Pair with fresh oysters, wild salmon or grilled asparagus.
VINTAGE AND VINEYARDS
Temperatures during the 2019 growing season were close to historical averages without many heat spikes. During harvest, temperatures cooled which gave our wines inviting flavors and great acidity.
The grapes were primarily hand harvested during daylight hours to take advantage of the sun’s heat for warm, effective macerations. The grapes were brought direct to press, without destemming or crushing, before fermentation in 100% stainless steel. It was bottled in late May. With no oak influence, the wine displays crisp, refreshing character.
