2017 Terroir Grenache Rose
This pretty pink wine opens with intense, seductive aromas of strawberry and other pink and light red fruits which carry over into flavors on the bright, fresh palate. Enjoy on the patio with light-bodied cheeses and fruit.
VINTAGE AND VINEYARDS
2017 was a later and wetter growing season than usual in eastern Washington. This allowed the white grapes a long hang time. They ripened later into the fall, becoming wonderfully aromatic.
After gentle hand-harvesting, the grapes were crushed, destemmed, and settled on the skins in a refrigerated tank overnight for maximum color and flavor extraction. The next day, the juice was pressed off to stainless steel and cool fermented at 60˚F–64˚F. It was then racked, fined, and chilled to 29°F. To retain its fresh, fruit aromas, the wine went directly to bottle with no barrel aging.
