Our 2014 vintage Merlot opens with wild strawberry, cherry, blueberry, and dark, meaty plum aromas. The wine is rich and weighty with great structure, nicely integrated oak, and flavors of black cherry, raspberry, vanilla, and a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg. Pair with grilled steak, lamb stew, or curried lentils and wild rice.
Hogue 2015 Reserve Chardonnay opens with toasty aromas of baked apple, Bosc pear, vanilla, cinnamon, and a slight hint of butter. The palate is balanced, rich, silky, and concentrated with vanilla, cream, spice, and nutmeg. Pair with grilled sockeye salmon, pasta alfredo, brie or other warm, ripened soft cheeses, roast chicken with tarragon, or halibut in a butter sauce.
